For Otegine (Fall 1)
He collapses face first onto the couch with a groan. Maye he can just go back to sleep...]

Slipping into the house to get some water, he has to do a double take when he spots his roommate lying prone on the couch.]
Syrlya?
[Oh boy. He detours automatically, a gentle lean over the back of the couch with a hand out to touch one of his shoulders. Is... he awake? He looks really rough.]

Cruise Date (first week of Fall)
At the Bar (Adelis, later Mishka)
So Syrlya decides early on they'll stick to activities that stay on the inside, where the rock of the waves and sound of the sea isn't as noticeable. So once they've had a couple hours to settle in, they check out the bar--not for binge drinking this time. Syrlya is even already looking at the appetizer menu to have some food alongside the drinks.]
Tomato and basil flatbread, pretzels with mustard, hot wings... do you want anything specific?

for Adelis (NSFW)
As it's mostly over the horizon, Syrlya has returned to their room around the same time Adelis has. He lets the door click behind him, absently locking it for privacy before he goes to sit at the edge of the bed.] How are you feeling?

for Sylvando
He did promise Sylvando he'd get to see him glowing, and it's the right time for that. So he takes the long walk down to the beaches, past fences until he reaches the front door of Sylvando's farm.
And he knocks upon the door, because some people here have manners.]
no subject
He's not particularly busy when Syrlya comes knocking, but he had been thinking about winding down for the day. It's a good he hasn't actually started his bedtime routine yet, though!]
Comiiiing!
[His voice rings out from deeper inside the farmhouse. It isn't long before he appears in the doorway...and gasps!]
Oh! Syrlya darling, hello! What brings you to La Casa de Sylvando tonight?

But he shoots up to his feet as soon as he hears the door.] Otegine?

Inside of a simple box is a long, silver pendant on a chain. The pendant is intricately molded in a style similar to the flourishes of Adelis' corset, a long cylinder a few inches in length that when twisted open reveals a sharp, thin knife.
The sheathe and twisted chain have well hidden hooks that allow a modular wear as a pendant necklace, circular, a bracelet, or wrapped around the arm.
And with the necklace, a note:]
Adelis,
Forgive me if this unbalanced your scales but I had already requested it made for the sake of the taskboard. Consider the return I get from that all the recompense needed.
You'll find the coating pure silver with a steel core for strength. Even if you never see another vampire again, I'm sure you can think of many more ways to use this than I could.
- Syrlya
Trahearne
And at the door he knocks. He didn't ask ahead if he was busy. He supposes he'll find out in a second.]

Mishka
It's much better quality than Syrlya himself could manage, having gone ahead and commissioned the blacksmith after a couple failed attempts to make it in wire.
And, of course, a letter:]
Mishka,
Per your words: apropos of the task board, but not ingenuine. You saved me a lot of grief trying to get those flowers out of my body myself. I feel that owes a bit more than some letter-writing advice.
And despite our difference in certain matters, I can tell you are someone Trahearne has been confiding in. That, I also thank you for. I think you understand the feeling of seeing someone you care about and wanting to ensure they are surrounded by those who will care for them in turn.
Be well, and good luck. My offer always stands if you can ever think of any assistance you need in managing your curse.
- Syrlya
Amber
Kaspar
Kaspar,
I understand you like to cook, though you may also enjoy these berries just as they are as well. Consider it my thanks for taking care of Trahearne as his roommate. I'm glad he has had someone so kind-hearted as you.
- Syrlya
Oriphi
Also in the basket is a folded letter.]
Ori,
Thank you again for the recommendation on the hydrangeas. I think he took them well.
I still have some seeds left over from the spring, before you arrived. If or when you have a greenhouse, you should be able to grow them no matter the season to offer in your shop. Or just to enjoy yourself.
- Syrlya
Barok van Zieks
There's also a couple cuttings of pink hydrangea, in case he wants to spruce up the house.]
Lord Barok van Zieks,
I hope Adelheid will enjoy some of these apples more than my hair. Although your efforts may not have borne the fruit you were hoping for, I do appreciate your consideration in us as a community.

for Mishka (Fall 8) cw: body horror...
[He opens the door--and the sight that greets Mishka is Syrlya down to just his tights, with the upper half of his body covered in sudden and awkwardly placed sprouts of flowers. Some he has already started triming and pulling out, leaving small holes and tears where they've ripped through his outer skin.]
--Oh! Mishka! [That's right, the letters.] Um, hello. Come in.
no subject
Anyway, this certainly wasn't what he expected when the door opened, and he raises an eyebrow with both curiosity and amusement. )
Good afternoon. Are you certain this is a good time?
( What does an excess of flowers blooming mean on a plant person... Wanting to get pollinated? The fact that some appear to have been trimmed and pulled is not lost on him, though, suggesting that this was not a wanted affliction. If this were so, it resembles a usual fate for travelers inflicted with certain spores along Koshevek roads, if much prettier. Perhaps that makes all the difference. )

For Trahearne (after resort, before pirates)
It is a bit chilly, but Syrlya continues to stand straight under the lamplight in the same white dress, cradling the stem of a blue and yellow hydrangea.]
no subject
He learned his lesson from last time, but at least he knows now that at least they'll have a nice, romantic dinner. Even if he does put his foot in his mouth (as usual).
He arrives not long after Syrlya does, dressed in a similar assortment of leaves as last time, but slightly different. It's slimmer, better cut, fits him better, little flourishes here and there. He's clearly iterated on it in the meanwhile. Under his arm is a familiar box, containing the chocolates.
And when he sees Syrlya, he beams. He doesn't notice the flowers right away, because his date looks simply radiant in that dress, under the lamplight. ]
Hello, Syrlya. [ He comes to stand beside him, grinning down at him. ] I hope I didn't keep you long.

for Adelis (after the resort)
Whether he needs to knock on the door, or finds him in the field, Syrlya approaches with a slightly tired smile--and a box of chocolates under his arm.] Afternoon. Can I steal some of your time to talk? Without whiskey this time, I'm afraid.
no subject
That, and he can feel the phantom edges of a headache coming on. Christ.
Inside he is, this time- and the door opens to Adelis, looking probably equally as tired, in more ways than one.
His gaze flickers down to the box, then back up. ]
If I drink any more in the next week, I'll turn into a bloody alcoholic. [ And that idea is less than ideal, for multiple reasons. He steps aside and opens the door, a gesture to come in. ] But I've little else to occupy my time right now, so I don't see why not.

for Trahearne (few days after second date)
But it also made it clear that this was very serious. That was what Syrlya wanted, of course. But the realization finally hits and he realizes, there are things he needs to make sure are open and understood. Promises he's made that he intends to keep.
So he swings around Trahearne's farm, hands empty as he checks the house itself first. Knock knock.]
no subject
Oh, hello, Syrlya.
[ Kiss on the lips for greeting is normal now? Yes it is! Trahearne does just that, though it's brief. ]
I'm sorry, my hands are full. But come in.
[ He doesn't really need to knock anymore, does he. Trahearne steps back from the door, keeping it open with his foot. ]

for Adelis (Winter 3)
It will be good for Adelis, given what he... needs to do. He's prepared for it, but he's really not looking forward to this.
He lets the new normal settle for a few days, before he swings around Adelis' farm in the late morning. Syrlya knocks against the door empty-handed, for once, offering Adelis only a weak smile when he answers.] Hello, Adelis. I hope I've come at a good time.
no subject
He is alone now, and it feels oddly emptier, and a lot colder. The fireplace is the first thing he tends to in the morning, grimacing as the cold eats away at his already frozen insides. It at least warms the small house enough, so that when the door opens, he's in a far better mood then he was earlier. Mishka has already absconded somewhere for the time being, so he's alone when the door creaks open. ]
Syrlya. [ That's an odd expression. Adelis peers at the other man for a moment, unblinking behind his glasses, before he shifts and opens the door. ] He isn't around to leech off me at the moment, so you're fine. Come in, then, before the cold gets in.
